Soap Club Challenge #1

Amy Warden's Soap Club Challenge:
Peacock Swirl

I did my very first Peacock Swirl and I had so much fun doing this.
I used Natures Gardens Mountain Dew FO, and I have to say it smells exactly like the drink.  The FO inspired my color choices (Yellow, Green, White, and Black).

Here are some of my cut bars.
So, my base is a solid green instead of the green/yellow in the pot swirl I original intended.   Even after a year of soaping I still (from time to time) forget to add my fragrance. I guess I still need to master some basics; right? Live and learn! Lol...

2013 Universal Soap Challenge: Columbia

I've participating  in a Soap Challenge on youTube.  Its called "2013 Universal Soap Challenge".  It's a year long challenge where each month you select a country while blindfolded and you soap something that best represents that country.  For January I got Columbia.

I used a coffee lye solution with freshly ground coffee; and a Dark Chocolate Fragrance Oil.  I used Titanium Dioxide & Activated Charcoal for color and topped it with Pink Sugar Crystals.  It's very yummy smelling; just like a opened candy bar.

Sorry no making video but my camera died.  Enjoy!!!

Andromeda Soap

This is one of my favorite color combos, pink & yellow.  I used a pomegranate fragrance oil, but it's not too strong.  I will know in the future to use more fragrance.  Enjoy!

Cosmos Soap

This is an unscented soap with no added coloring.   I did do things different and use carrot puree mix.  However, I did add glitter and sugar sprinkles on top for decoration; these normally wash off after 1 or 2 usages.   Enjoy!

Making Water Element Soap

Hi,

I have finally got back to Soaping and here is the video.  This is 1 of 7 House of Night tribute Soaps.  This is a tribute to the Element Water; it is scented with a Cool Water type fragrance oil.  It's very, very masculine and smells exactly like the men's Cologne.  I love the White & Blue Swirl that I got.  Watch my video and follow my on the Adventures of Soaping.

Future Soaping projects

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not sticking with updating for several months.  Yes, it has been awhile and I unfortunately haven't made any soap.   :(

I started to make something using Dragon's blood and even started to film it.  I has so excited because we both love Dragon's Blood very much and were looking forward to having that as a soap.  I had an allergic reaction to the Fragrance oil and it took a few weeks to get over it.  I couldn't even go in the garage to clean up the mess due to the smell.

Anyway, I just had a huge shopping spree for several projects that I plan on posting here and on YouTube.  SolarParadiseSoap

Here's what I have planned:
  • Cherries in the snow soap cake - This was a dessert I learned from my mom as a kid.  Now my version, in soap.
  • Psycho Watermelon - Everyone thinks Green & Red/Pink soap when they hear watermelon.  Not me, I have always been different & that's OK.
  • Fairyz Flight - remember those ice sphere molds?  I put them to use with this soap.
  • Choco-Orange cupcakes
  • And finally; a House of Night tribute - I have 7 soaps planned that have inspired these creations.  I have seen alot of Twilight inspired soaps; even though I love the books/movies, I don't like doing what everyone else has done.
Thanks for checking out my Blog, & will work harder to update weekly!
